A couple of weeks ago, I wrote a post on furniture and decor that looks expensive but is actually surprisingly affordable (all under $500). Y\u2019all seemed to really like it, so we thought we\u2019d try it as a series and see how it goes. Affordable lighting is first up! Since lamps and light fixtures are nearly a love language category of their own (at least to me), I thought, what better type of decor to start with? They are the type of piece that isn\u2019t a permanent decision, so you can\u2019t easily change it, but it is also super functional, as well as functions like a piece of art. Basically, LAMPS ARE IMPORTANT. Can you tell I love lamp? I went across the internet to find really wonderful, affordable lighting in hopes that if you are in the market, your search can stop here. Let\u2019s get into it\u2026<\/p>\n

Affordable Lighting: Table Lamps<\/h3>\n

If modern traditional is your style (which I know it is for many of you;)) Either of these is such a win. That all-bronze lamp is SO chic! The finish is dark but still warm and textured, while the overall shape leans more modern. It\u2019s architectural but in a really approachable and versatile way. For instance, I think it would look awesome in Em\u2019s farmhouse or my Euro-modern apartment. And actually, the same goes for this cordless cutie. It\u2019s a little smaller but can be put anywhere because, yes, it doesn\u2019t need a nearby outlet. The style and wood finish are perfectly executed, and are why it looks like it could easily be sold for double. <\/p>\n

Black Modern Dimmable Lamp<\/a> \u2013 $58 (Set of 2)<\/p>\n

Stop with this shape! Vintage-inspired, cool, and soooo affordable. These<\/a> are rechargeable, have 3 light settings, and also come in gold. And in case you don\u2019t feel like doing any math, each lamp breaks down to $29 each. <\/p>\n

Tell me that white ceramic lamp<\/a> isn\u2019t almost identical to Em\u2019s navy lamps that go for about $300 (in a similar size). The materials are different, but for that price, it doesn\u2019t bother me at all. Then that brown stoneware beaut<\/a> is actually from Zara Home. I looooove it and could see it being sold in any of the high-end design shops for at least $300. The proportions are so simple but intentional, and I adore the tonal shade. <\/p>\n

Why not add a little pattern to a lamp base?? It\u2019s such a cool statement in a home that tells your guests you know what\u2019s up when it comes to decorating and style. The vertical stripe and knife pleat shade lamp<\/a> is neutral in tone but brings TEXTURE to the table in the best way. I was stunned when I saw it was only $75. Then get a load of that wood striped base<\/a> and little ball finial! I love it so much, and I feel confident it would look amazing in any style of home. I will say, though, that I might switch the bright white simple shade to elevate even more. A shade with a more pronounced taper, a knife pleat shade like the other one would be great, or even a color if that\u2019s your style. But the base is perfect. No notes. <\/p>\n

Mushroom Table Lamp<\/a> \u2013 $55 | Contemporary Rechargeable\/Cordless Dimmable Mushroom Table Lamp<\/a> \u2013 $66<\/p>\n

I truly cannot believe that blue ceramic lamp<\/a> is only $55. To say it looks more expensive than that is an understatement. Plus, while that blue is bright, it\u2019s not so bright that it can\u2019t easily work with so many other colors. It\u2019s going to sell out fast. Then, in case you didn\u2019t know, yellow is a neutral\ud83d\ude42 It\u2019s also fun! This very affordable yellow lamp is really giving us Schoolhouse vibes from the color to the awesome shape. 10\/10.<\/p>\n

Affordable Lighting: Floor Lamps<\/h3>\n

Cream\/Brass Hinge Floor Lamp<\/a> \u2013 $100 | FLYGH\u00d6JD Floor Lamp<\/a> \u2013 $70<\/p>\n

It\u2019s time to move on to floor lamps. I\u2019m the biggest sucker for the mid-century modern perforated metal lamp shades. So, to find a floor lamp<\/a> in this style, no less, for only $100. It\u2019s a no-brainer. But if you are more traditional, the other white and brass floor lamp<\/a> is beautifully simple, elegant, and only $70!<\/p>\n

Black Arched Floor Lamp<\/a> \u2013 $170<\/p>\n

All of us fell hard for that rattan floor lamp Emily used in our Room Service sofa shoot<\/a> from the photo above. This one<\/a> is a little different but equally as beautiful! Actually, I think that the shape of the shade is even more elevated and has a bit more personality. Such a good piece that will look good in a room forever. <\/p>\n

Mild Steel Floor Lamp Brass<\/a> \u2013 $75 | Industrial Vintage Gold Floor Lamp<\/a> \u2013 $70<\/p>\n

These two floor lamps are also pretty classic in style but with slightly more modern lines. Mushroom lamps tend to have larger shades than this one<\/a>, but I like that it\u2019s playing with standard proportions. Then the industrial vintage one<\/a> is so sleek! I love how delicate and slender it is. Just remember that these are task lamps, so the light is directional and won\u2019t fill your room with light, in case that\u2019s what you are looking for. <\/p>\n

Affordable Lighting: Wall Sconces<\/h3>\n

It\u2019s wall sconce time! That brass cutie<\/a> is simple but perfect. It also comes in two other finishes and two other sizes with slightly different pricing. Then the white enamel 2-light sconce<\/a> is something I would put in my home in a second if I had the right spot! It feels vintage and is so sculptural. It is currently on sale, so I wouldn\u2019t say it\u2019s \u201caffordable\u201d outside of that, so if you love it, I would consider purchasing it very soon! But the metal ring sconce<\/a> IS affordable, but is also on sale, so that $53 is reallllly good. This is another light I would consider switching out the shade for one that\u2019s less bright white to elevate the overall style (although not necessary). A patterned one would be so cute, too!<\/p>\n

The green-stained wood one<\/a> is SO special I can\u2019t stand it. I know almost $200 isn\u2019t cheap, but that kind of shape and detailing could easily cost a lot<\/em> more. The shade is to die for, too! If green isn\u2019t your preference, it also comes in one other color and two natural wood tones. The other sconce<\/a> is another one that pays attention to details, is unique (which makes it look expensive), and would give off a beautiful ambient light in a room or hallway. <\/p>\n

Affordable Lighting: Vanity Lights<\/h3>\n

Yes, those prices are real. The 2-light vanity light<\/a> is modern but not in a way that wouldn\u2019t work in a traditional bathroom. It feels fresh in a great way, and I love the opal glass that will give off soft, even light, making putting on makeup MUCH better (no harsh light with bummer shadows). The other, more traditional 3-light beauty<\/a> is classic and so pretty. Oh, and the brass is unlaquered, so hopefully it might develop a really pretty patina! It also comes in a black\/brass combo! Again, the opal glass is so nice, and while that is the sale price, the full price isn\u2019t too much of a jump.<\/p>\n

Affordable Lighting: Flush Mounts<\/h3>\n

I was so happy when so many of you loved the updated \u201caffordable boob light\u201d post! And nothing against boobs, but let\u2019s keep them on bodies, not ceilings. So here are four flushmounts I think look much pricier than their actual price tag. Starting off with that modern barn light<\/a>. I love an emanel light fixture, opal glass, and things that are oversized. So this checks all three of those boxes! The large glass is what really elevates it for me. The next flush mount<\/a> is on the higher end of this post\u2019s price range, but it\u2019s also perfect. It had to be included. It\u2019s so chic I almost can\u2019t handle it. It has that vintage Euro-modern vibe I really can\u2019t quit. Oh, and they both also come in black.<\/p>\n

Bubble LED Flushmount<\/a> \u2013 $128 | Gold Modern Globe Glass Flush Mount Light<\/a> \u2013 $72<\/p>\n

Speaking of vintage Euro-modern, this bubble cutie<\/a> also gives me that feeling. Since it\u2019s so neutral (I mean, it\u2019s literally clear), I think it would be so cool as a style contrast decor piece. A little bit of fun and excitement to up your style game. It does come in a larger size, too (but it\u2019s still under $200:))! Then who doesn\u2019t love a little art deco glamor? This brass flush mount<\/a> is both playful and regal, but not too loud. The price is so good, and it also comes in black and silver. <\/p>\n

Affordable Lighting: Chandeliers<\/h3>\n

Even though I know there are affordable options out there, when I think chandelier, I immediately think \u201cooo expensive.\u201d So to prove to you and remind me, here are four really awesome options I found! I am stunned at the price of this linear chandelier<\/a>. It\u2019s so elegant and simle AND those shades are glass. I KNOW. If I needed a chandelier, I would probably buy it. Now, this candle-style chandelier<\/a> is a really wonderful, versatile option that looks so great. Again, simple but really well designed!<\/p>\n

Bubble Glass Sputnik Modern Linear Chandelier<\/a> \u2013 $170 | Glass Globe Bubble Chandelier<\/a> \u2013 $194<\/p>\n

These two are less \u201csimple,\u201d ha, but just as wonderful! I was kinda shocked by how drawn to that Sputnik chandelier<\/a>. It\u2019s really striking and looks so much more expensive than $170. It gives almost a version of old Apparatus Lighting? So ya, I\u2019m into it. The bubble chandelier<\/a> is both classic and very on trend. So if you want to dabble and need a great statement chandelier, this is it!<\/p>\n

Affordable Lighting: Pendants<\/h3>\n

Natural Jute Teardrop Collapsible Hanging Lantern<\/a> \u2013 $55 | Geometric Paper Ceiling Lamp<\/a> \u2013 $229<\/p>\n

Our last affordable lighting category\u2026 pendants. A fixture after my own heart, especially fabric ones:) Did you see my love letter to this perfect, versatile classic? The fabric tear drop one is in the family, actually. Emily got a table lamp that\u2019s no longer available, also from World Market, that was in the same material, and we were all shocked that it was so affordable! It looked really expensive. So this one<\/a> has that same look! People will be shocked when you tell them the price. I do believe that you need a ceiling hardwire kit like this one<\/a>, but it\u2019s also really affordable. Now, I know this geometric paper ceiling lamp<\/a> exceeds the $200 limit, but only by a little, and tell me it\u2019s not worth it! What an incredibly cool, unique, and special piece that I also desperately want! If this is in your house, everyone will come to you for style advice, guaranteed \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

To wrap this whole affordable lighting post up, I leave you with this utilitarian, \u201cUrban Electric-esque\u201d glass and brass pendant<\/a>. It\u2019s large, really beautiful, and totally reminds me of the mountain house dining nook\u2019s (very pricey) pendant. A perfect modern traditional fixture that also comes in black!<\/p>\n
